Race Ambassadors

Each year, the Garmin Kansas City Marathon selects an esteemed group of race ambassadors to drive race registrations by representing the event on social media, at group runs, expos and other activations. Each ambassador receives a 10% registration discount code that can be utilized by anyone. Every time the code is used, it helps the ambassador earn rewards!

Ambassador Perks

  • 1 complimentary race entry into the 2025 Garmin Kansas City Marathon race of your choosing for being selected as an ambassador

  • Official Garmin Kansas City Marathon ambassador t-shirt to wear at group runs, around town, and at running events and expos around the city

  • 2nd complimentary entry for 10 registrations

  • $20 gift card for the first five ambassadors to reach 20 registrations

  • $50 gift card for the first ambassador to reach 50 registrations

  • A free pair of running shoes for the ambassador with the most total race registrations using their discount code

  • Invitation to our end-of-the-year Appreciation Party – Food and drink provided; the opportunity for you to be recognized for your amazing efforts in promoting our races and provide feedback to help shape the future of our events

Expectations

  • Use your strong social media presence in combination with your presence within the Kansas City and national running community to drive race registrations.

  • Secure a minimum of 10 registrations for the 2025 Garmin Kansas City Marathon 

  • Weekly promotion of the event on social media tagging #KansasCityMarathon

  • Ambassadors to work a 2-hour shift at the Course Info Line at a packet pickup for Garmin Kansas City Marathon to answer participants’ course related questions.

  • Ambassadors to work a promo table shift at packet pickup at the 2026 Hospital Hill Run to promote the 2026 Garmin Kansas City Marathon.
