Meredith joined the Kansas City Sports Commission and Visit KC in May 2024. She joined the team after serving as the Assistant Athletic Director of Kansas City Public Schools (KCPS) for six and half years, managing athletics for over 14,000 students. She oversaw budgeting, administration, and student-athlete promotion, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a thriving athletic program. Her tenure saw groundbreaking initiatives like the opening of four turf fields and a high school gymnasium renovation, alongside the rise of two state champions in the 2023-2024 year. During her tenure, Meredith earned her Athletic Administrator Certification and won the WIN for KC Kissick Construction “Game Changer” award in 2020. In addition, Meredith participated in the Kauffman Education Fellows Program and served as the Media Coordinator for the Missouri Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (MIAAA). She has worked closely with the MIAAA Women’s Coaching Association to promote women in coaching and administration roles.
Prior to arriving at KCPS, Meredith worked for a year with Kansas City Parks and Recreation, overseeing athletic leagues, directing running and triathlon events, and handling contracts. She spent twelve years as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at the NCAA Division I level, including stints at Baylor University, Stephen F. Austin University (SFA), and University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). Her leadership helped guide teams to success, culminating in Conference Championships, appearances in the NCAA tournament, and the Sweet 16. Meredith holds a bachelor’s degree Exercise Science from Abilene Christian University and a master's degree in Sport Management from Baylor University.
A true champion for Kansas City, Meredith is passionate about attracting sports and tourism to Kansas City. She embodies Visit KC's motto "From the Heart" through her dedication to her city.
