Colton Spresser rejoined the Kansas City Sports Commission in January 2023 and serves as the Senior Manager, Events, assisting with both the national and KCSC owned events.  

A graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University in 2016, Colton was a member of the Coyote football team and his love for competition led him to pursue a bachelor’s degree in sports management and an internship with the Sports Commission in the summer of 2016.

After completing his internship, Spresser then went on to Florida Atlantic University to pursue a Master of Education degree (’18). While there, Colton continued his involvement within sports and volunteered with the FAU Facilities Management, Operations, and Events department. He later returned to Kansas City in May of 2017 to work full-time with the Kansas City Sports Commission’s event team until October 2020.

During his few-year hiatus at the Kansas City Sports Commission, Colton held various responsibilities at Kansas Wesleyan University that included overseeing student activities, campus recreation and intramurals.

A native of Hoxie, Kansas, Colton remains active and often finds himself golfing, playing slow-pitch softball, or traveling with his mini goldendoodle, Ellie.
