Sarah joined the Sports Commission team in the Fall of 2005 and is responsible for the Accounting/Finance, Risk Management and Administration aspects of the organization. 

Sarah earned her Business and Accounting degree from the University of Kansas and was classically trained as a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Young and Company (now Ernst & Young).  She subsequently was awarded a secondary teaching certification from Rockhurst University in Business Education and spent several years writing secondary business education curriculum for the Shawnee Mission School District and also teaching business courses at Broadmoor Center for Academic Achievement. 

During a career hiatus to raise her 3 children, Sarah served various leadership roles in the numerous volunteer jobs at her children’s school(s) including Parent Teacher Associations and booster clubs, church activities, and community volunteer opportunities.  Sarah and her husband remain active in the KC community, enjoy all things Jayhawk, and remain close with their three grown children (and son-in-law).
